About Linda Turner

After studying Education at Lamar University, Linda began her career with Mobil Chemical Company in 1986. During her time at MCC she served in Logistics management positions building her expertise in all modes of transportation. In 2000, Linda joined TOTAL Petrochemicals as Logistics Supervisor with responsibility of overseeing the movement of products for all four business units. Linda joined FirstEnergy Corporation in July of 2006 serving as Director, Transportation and Related Commodities. In this capacity she was responsible for developing and securing FE’s entire transportation model. In September 2013, Linda transitioned back into the Chemical industry, joining Americas Styrenics as Logistics Procurement Manager. At Amsty Linda had responsibility for procuring all Amsty’s rail, truck, barge and international freight transportation, warehousing, and terminals services along with railcar leases and maintenance needs. Linda retired from AmSty in March 2025 and is now actively serving as SWARS Executive Director and provides transportation consulting services to a wide range of clients.

Linda was actively involved in the Transportation industry throughout her career serving in past roles as Vice-Chair, American Chemical Council’s Transportation and Logistics Association, President, Southwest Association of Rail Shippers, Board Director, NFTA Board Director, Waterways Council and Board Member, National Coal Transportation Association. She currently serves on the National Association or Rail Shippers Advisory Board.

In her spare time Linda serves on the Board of Mission Centers of Houston and actively participates in her church activities. Linda and her husband Glenn reside in Spring, Texas and have four grown children. They love spending time spoiling their nine grandchildren.
