Each year, the Southwest Association of Rail Shippers (SWARS) provides scholarships to qualified applicants. Scholarships are administered at the sole discretion of SWARS and awards are conferred on a competitive basis. Funding is made available only for the scholastic year beginning in the fall semester following notification of a scholarship award.
2025 Personal Statement Topic: Reflect on a leadership experience you’ve had in any aspect of your life—whether in school, work, sports, family, church, or community—and describe what led you to take on this role. How did working with diverse teams to address complex issues shape your goals and demonstrate your commitment to ethical leadership? Lastly, what personal qualities or experiences make you unique in this context?
We understand the difficulty students have had in preparing for and accessing admission testing. For 2025 scholarship applicants, ACT/SAT test scores are OPTIONAL.
