Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - North America Rail; GATX
Paul Titterton is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for GATX’s North American railcar leasing business. In this role, he is responsible for GATX’s network of repair facilities across North America, as well as fleet portfolio management, engineering, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, environment, health, and safety (“EHS”), continuous improvement, emerging technologies, and maintenance management. Mr. Titterton served as GATX’s North American Chief Commercial Officer from 2013 to 2018, and prior to that served in a variety of increasingly responsible roles at GATX in the areas of business development, strategy, structured finance, investment analysis, government affairs, and portfolio management. Mr. Titterton joined GATX in 1997.
Mr. Titterton is a CFA charterholder, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College in American History. In addition to his role at GATX, he serves as a board member of the John Howard Association of Illinois and the John W. Barriger III National Railroad Library. He is married with three children.
