Kevin Boone

Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing; CSX

Kevin Boone leads the company’s commercial organization as Executive Vice President of Sales
and Marketing. He oversees the company’s profitable growth strategies as well as customer service,
customer engagement and business development activities. Previously, he was Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the planning and implementation of all finance
activities at CSX. He joined CSX in September 2017 as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Chief
Investor Relations Officer, and also previously served as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy.

Prior to joining CSX, Boone spent 18 years in the investment industry, specializing in finance,
accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and transportation performance analysis. His roles included
Senior Equity Research Analyst at Janus Capital, Vice President at Morgan Stanley in equity
research, and associate at Merrill Lynch in the mergers and acquisitions group.

Boone earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and a master’s
degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
