Katie Farmer

President and Chief Executive Officer; BNSF Railway

Katie Farmer was named President and Chief Executive Officer of BNSF Railway in 2021, and also leads BNSF’s Board of Directors.

Katie has been with BNSF for 33 years, having joined Burlington Northern in 1992 as a management trainee. During that time, she has held a variety of positions and leadership roles in sales, marketing, finance, customer solutions, and network operations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Texas Christian University.
