About Lory Whitley

Lory is the Director of Business Development at Rail Logix where she is responsible for the growth and development of rail related services at all Rail Logix sites across the Gulf Coast.   Rail Logix is a privately held rail yard operator specializing in rail storage, handling, transloading and switching for users in the petrochemical, agriculture, energy, and logistics industries.

Lory has been involved in the transportation industry since 1999.  Lory spent most of her career working alongside her family at the Tauber Companies. While at the Tauber Companies, Lory was able to learn all modes of transportation, product marketing, and business development.   Lory has a passion for rail transportation and has enjoyed participating in the SWARS organization since 2008.

Lory graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Environmental Science and Economics.   She is a past board member of the Houston Transportation Professionals Association (HTPA), His Grace Foundation, and Businesswomen in Petroleum (BIP).  Lory currently volunteers with Snowdrop Foundation and Bling for Bravery, two Houston based charities that offer support to children who are battling cancer.

When Lory is not working or volunteering, she enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, and hunting.  Lory and her husband, Clark, live in Houston with their two dogs and cat.
